Accessibility and Disability Overview
The course offers an insight into the world of disability through a modern approach, guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (New York, 2006). The course offers an overview regarding what steps to follow to perform compliance/accessibility verification of a website. After an explanation of the various auditing methodologies, Automatic and Semi-automatic auditing is explored in depth in a theoretical and laboratory mode. IT Fundamentals for Accessibility
The IT Fundamentals for Accessibility course aims to provide the basic skills and knowledge for developing digital content that is accessible to all, including users with disabilities. Participants will learn about the technical guidelines of accessibility, then WCAG 2.1 AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), which establish international standards for web content accessibility. The four principles (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust) will be explored in depth. The basics of developing accessible web pages will also be covered in the course.
