This is an Accessiway-hosted webinar addressing one of the most significant recent developments in Italian digital accessibility enforcement: since 4 March 2026, AgID — Italy's national digital agency — has formal powers to sanction organisations whose digital services fail to meet accessibility requirements, and the complaints platform is already live.
Presented by Accessiway's Executive Vice President Edoardo Arnello and accessibility specialist Cecilia Pirchio, the 45-minute session covers the shift from accessibility as a paper obligation to a real enforcement system with material consequences. Attendees will learn who is affected by the new AgID framework, how the control checklists work, what constitutes disproportionate burden, how PNRR funding intersects with compliance obligations, and exactly how the complaints and sanctions process unfolds.
The session then moves to practical ground: what conformity looks like across websites, apps and documents; how to build a sustainable remediation path; and the difference between accessibility by design and last-minute emergency fixes.
